Today started in a great way, I had a view of the other side of the wall. When breakthroughs happen in your life, ministry, or family, its amazing what comes on the other side. When we give God all the glory and when we focus on the right things, we begin to see less of the wall in front of us and more of the path God has laid out in front for us to walk.
This morning I had more of a break through. Physically I was hitting the wall again in the gym and I thought I was done again. Thankfully my trainer saw that I was coming to the wall again and challenged me to find my second wind. I’ve heard lots of talk about a second wind but I really learned the beauty of grabbing a hold of it and moving forward with it.
We had finished a round of drills and I looked at him and said, “Give me one more!” His eyes widened and he smiled, “You got the second wind!” Let’s Go! So we went 1 more 3min round and it was intense, crazy demanding and burned like mad! BUT, I broke through the wall, found my second wind and fell more alive than I have in a while.
Spiritually, I think David in Psalm 25, found a second wind. When he was going through struggles and feeling alone and the accuser was obviously tormenting him about his past, David looked to the Father and cried out for help. He cried out for a second wind. “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope (second wind) is in you all day long.” Psalm 25:4-5
When you can’t push through, cry out! Remember your HOPE!
He finishes Psalm 25 with these words. “May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in you!” (vs.21)
When you take your eyes off yourself, your issues, your fears, your doubts, your addictions, yourself… You realize the only hope you have is the one who walks through walls! If you’re facing a wall right now. Take a moment to cry out to Jesus, Declare your need of Hope in Him and let me walk through the walls for you and give you a glimpse of what he has in store for you!
